Wacker Neuson and Zeppelin Rental Event Day - zero emission: Focus on Green Combined Solutions

02. August 2024, 12:08

The future of construction sites is emission-free. Wacker Neuson and Zeppelin Rental already offer holistic and green solutions for environmentally friendly and efficient work. The two companies presented their innovative solutions at a gravel pit near Wolfertschwenden on the "Zero emission: Sustainable Construction" campaign day.

The 100 invited guests were given an insight into the zero-emission combined solutions from Wacker Neuson and Zeppelin Rental at five interactive stations. In addition to the presentation of green products and services, the main focus was on experiencing and trying them out.

"The zero emission construction site is coming – that's the future. To offer our customers the complete all-round solution on the construction site, Wacker Neuson has been working on electrically powered construction equipment and machines for more than ten years," says Axel Fischer, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Germany. "Today, we can make a complete construction site possible with the zero emission product range, and we are constantly developing our zero emission range in the interests of our customers."

The broader the portfolio, the more flexibly the zero emission solutions can be used. Wacker Neuson's zero emission product range includes battery-powered rammers, plates and rollers, excavators, dumpers, telescopic handlers, and wheel loaders. However, Wacker Neuson goes one step further and looks at the entire ecosystem: from the charging infrastructure to services, financing offers, and different utilization models, to a life cycle analysis of the battery. "Not only were the participants able to test our e-solutions live on this day of action, but Zeppelin Rental and we, as a solution provider, also learned even more about our customers' requirements. Because only together can we realize this change," summarizes Fischer.

Construction experts and industry insiders agree: environmental protection and sustainability are and will remain important criteria for the construction of the future. Climate neutrality, energy efficiency, and the careful use of resources are already decisive factors in numerous tenders today. In the coming years, green and holistic construction solutions will play an even more important role in complying with stipulated requirements. This is because everyone, from the investor to the subcontractor, is pursuing the same goal: sustainable construction.

With the green combined solutions from the zero emission range from Wacker Neuson and Zeppelin Rental, customers and business partners are ideally equipped for the change in the construction industry. "The demand and interest in zero emission solutions are growing continuously. I am therefore all the more pleased that, together with Wacker Neuson, we are demonstrating what we can already realize today in the zero emission sector," says Peter Schrader, Managing Director of Zeppelin Rental. The experienced rental and construction logistics service provider has been offering green rental solutions for years with its sustainable ecoRent program consisting of construction machinery and equipment with environmentally friendly technology, maximum efficiency, and maximum safety standards.

Zeppelin Rental is rounding off its green offering with the new ecoSolutions sustainability brand, consisting of a wide range of construction-related services such as customized charging infrastructure. "For me, the action day closes a circle that began with our two sustainability brands, ecoRent and ecoSolutions, as a green and holistic solution duo," says Schrader. In addition to a sophisticated charging infrastructure for an emission-free construction site, Zeppelin Rental also presented a mobile office solution and versatile e-vehicles such as the Polaris Ranger and platform trailers for events and construction sites.
