Wacker Neuson at the Nordbau 2024
04. September 2024, 12:09
This year, Wacker Neuson will once again be exhibiting at Nordbau in Neumünster from 4 to 8 September. Visitors can see the innovative zero emission solutions, compact equipment, light equipment and services for themselves at the 1,000 square meter stand N115 in the north outdoor area.
‘Our trade fair appearance is all about change in the construction industry and will focus on our zero emission solutions and other pioneering products,’ explains Axel Fischer, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Germany. ‘In addition to the electrically powered WL28e wheel loader, the EW100 wheeled excavator will also be on display - a highlight for us and our customers. We look forward to numerous visitors and valuable dialogue on site.’ Demo shows will take place every day, showing many of the machines in action.
The zero emission construction site
Wacker Neuson's e-product range includes rammers, plates and rollers, excavators, dumpers, telescopic handlers and wheel loaders. ‘Wacker Neuson is a pioneer in the field of zero emission, the first battery-powered rammers have been on the market since 2014. We can now make a complete zero emission construction site possible - from breaking, excavating and transporting to compacting and backfilling,’ adds Axel Fischer. ‘And we are constantly developing our zero emission range in the interests of our customers and adding additional products.’
New WL28e electric wheel loader
Wacker Neuson is expanding its zero emission portfolio with the new WL28e electric wheel loader.
In addition to the already proven WL20e model, a larger and more powerful electrically powered machine is now available for material transport. Customers can choose an optional cabine, which enables comfortable year-round use of the machine thanks to a sophisticated heating concept. There is also a choice of three maintenance-free lithium-ion batteries to cover customers' different runtime requirements. The integrated battery management system monitors the battery and optimises its service life. The ECO mode for longer journeys helps to extend the battery runtime, but flexible intermediate charging is also possible if required. The charging cable plugs can be flexibly selected. This enables fast charging tailored to the selected battery size. In combination with the built-in onboard charger, an efficient and safe charging process is guaranteed.
Also on display at the stand: the two new conventional wheel loaders WL250 and WL750, which will be launched later this year.
EW100: a new era of wheeled excavators
Also at Nordbau: the Wacker Neuson EW100 wheeled excavator. The 10-tons wheeled excavator is unique in its class and sets new standards. Intelligent attachment management with tool recognition, a well thought-out human-machine interface and preparation for various assistance systems and interfaces are just a few examples. The focus during development was on user-friendliness and efficiency: thanks to the powerful travel hydraulics and high basic working performance, the EW100 can also be used for tasks that would otherwise require the use of a 14-tons excavator.
Wacker Neuson celebrates 40 years of mini and compact excavators: 1984-2024
Wacker Neuson developed its first hydraulic mini excavator in 1984. Thanks to a pioneering spirit and the will to develop new technical solutions for construction site work, the company succeeded in producing the small hydraulic components required for mini excavators. As a result, mini-excavators replaced the time-consuming and tedious work with shovels and pickaxes. To this day, innovations such as the telescopic undercarriage or the VDS superstructure tilting system set standards in the industry. The current range of Wacker Neuson mini and compact excavators consists of 20 machines from 800 kilograms to 15 tons operating weight, including the fully electric EZ17e mini excavator and the next larger EZ26e electric model, which is expected to be available from early 2025.
