Today is the international "Noise Awareness Day", which is ideally suited to our electric construction machinery and equipment. Our wide range of zero emission solutions includes wheel loaders, mini-excavators, tracked and wheeled dumpers as well as battery-powered rammers and vibratory plates and an internal vibrator system for concrete consolidation.
The electric-powered construction machines are up to 20 decibels* quieter than their gasoline-operated counterparts; this reduction is extreme, as ten decibels means less than half the perceived sound level. This brings specific advantages: as work can be done with the electric machines even in noise-sensitive environments, inner-city night construction sites can be implemented, just like renovation work in hospitals or gardening and landscaping in areas surrounding kindergartens and schools. During work in the pedestrian zone of Copenhagen, for example, almost the entire portfolio of electric machines by Wacker Neuson were used. * Emission sound pressure level (LpA): This specifies the sound level of the equipment at the working area directly assigned to it, for example in the cabin or in the operator's cab.
