EW65 wheeled excavator from Wacker Neuson provides targeted support for training at EUROVIA

Wacker Neuson and the construction company EUROVIA are taking a stand against the shortage of skilled labour: Since the spring, an EW65 wheeled excavator from Wacker Neuson has been available specifically for training and practical assignments. The aim of the investment is to teach young people how to operate modern construction machinery under realistic conditions. "Practical training is the basis for securing a sustainable supply of skilled labour. We are delighted to support EUROVIA with customised technology and work together to inspire young talent for the construction industry," says Marvin Stein, Key Account Manager at Wacker Neuson.

The EW65 was selected in close consultation between EUROVIA and Wacker Neuson and customised for its use. The eye-catching special paint finish as a "trainee excavator" not only makes the machine instantly recognisable, but also contributes to safety on the construction sites. The trainees use the excavator on various projects - and are responsible for its care, maintenance and operation. In this way, they learn at an early stage to take on responsibility and apply what they have learnt in their everyday training directly in practice.

"With this excavator, we are creating realistic working conditions for our trainees," explains Stefan Laskowski, Regional Manager at EUROVIA. "We are convinced that practice-orientated training is the key to attracting motivated and qualified specialists." The construction company is represented in Bottrop with a wide range of services in road construction and civil engineering.
